Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Vera ("Vera", "we", "us"). Vera is an online studio for making short videos, images, voiceovers and scripts with AI, available at joinvera.app. Vera is run by its owners in the United States. By creating an account or using Vera, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Vera.

1. Who can use Vera

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal adulthood where you live, to use Vera. If you use Vera for a business, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for that business.

2. Your account

You need an account to use the studio. Keep your login details private. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at hello@joinvera.app if you think someone else has used it.

3. Plans, credits and payments

• Credits. Vera runs on credits. Each tool shows its price in credits on the Generate button before you press it.
• Plans. A paid plan gives you a set number of credits each billing period. Plan credits roll over while your plan stays active. If your plan ends, unused plan credits may be removed.
• Credit packs. Credit packs are one-time purchases. Credits from packs do not expire while your account is open.
• Failed generations. If a generation fails, the credits it cost are returned to your balance automatically.
• Payments. Payments are handled by Whop, our payment provider. We do not see or store your full card number. Whop's own terms apply to your purchase.
• Renewals. Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel.
• Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from My profile. You keep your plan and credits until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.
• Price changes. We may change prices or what each plan includes. Changes apply from your next billing period, not the one you have already paid for.
• Credits have no cash value. Credits can only be used inside Vera. They cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged for money.

4. Refunds

All purchases are final. We do not give refunds or account credit for plans, credit packs, unused credits or part-used billing periods, except where the law requires it. If you were charged by mistake, or something went wrong that was our fault, email hello@joinvera.app and we will look into it.

5. What you put in and what you make

• Your uploads. You keep the rights to the photos, videos, audio and text you upload. You confirm you have the right to use them, including the right to use any person, product, brand or music that appears in them.
• Permission to process. You give us permission to store and process your uploads and prompts, and to send them to the AI services we use, only so that Vera can make what you asked for and keep it in your library.
• What you make. As between you and Vera, the videos, images, audio and scripts you generate are yours to use, including commercially. Vera does not add a watermark.
• Limits of AI output. AI results can be inaccurate, can resemble other people's work, and may not be protected by copyright in every country. Other users may get similar results from similar prompts. You are responsible for checking a result before you publish it or run it as an ad.

6. Rules for using Vera

You agree not to use Vera to make, upload or share anything that:

• is illegal, or helps someone break the law;
• sexualises or exploits children in any way;
• is sexually explicit, or shows a real person in a sexual or degrading way;
• copies a real person's face, body or voice without their permission, or is meant to make people believe a real person said or did something they did not;
• infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights;
• harasses, threatens or promotes violence or hatred against a person or group;
• is fraudulent or deceptive, including fake reviews, fake endorsements, or advertising claims you cannot back up.

You also agree not to break, overload or probe the service, get around credit or plan limits, resell access to Vera, or use automated tools to pull data out of it without our written permission.

You are responsible for following the advertising rules of any platform where you post what you make, including rules about labelling AI-generated or sponsored content.

7. Copying another ad

Ad Remix studies the structure of an ad you upload (its hook, pacing and types of shot) and builds a new ad around your own product. Only upload ads you are allowed to use as a reference. Do not use Vera to pass off someone else's brand, logo, creator or footage as your own.

8. AI services we rely on

Vera makes its results using AI models from other companies. Those models can change, slow down or become unavailable, and we may swap one model for another. A model's provider may refuse certain prompts. When that happens the generation fails and your credits are returned.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep Vera running, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may add, change or remove features. Download anything you want to keep; we may delete stored results after a period of time or when an account is closed.

10. Suspending or closing accounts

You can stop using Vera at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@joinvera.app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, abuses the service, or puts Vera or other people at risk. If we close an account for breaking these terms, unused credits are lost and no refund is given.

11. No warranties

Vera is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises, express or implied, about the service or its results, including that results will be accurate, original, fit for a particular purpose, or free of other people's rights.

12. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Vera and its owners are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about Vera is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Some places do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Your responsibility to us

If someone brings a claim against Vera because of what you uploaded, what you made, or how you used Vera in breach of these terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the U.S. state where Vera's owners are based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights that the law does not allow you to give up.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the studio or by email before it takes effect. Using Vera after a change means you accept the updated terms.
